Leading Provider of eBook Technology and Solutions Will Offer Insights on Current and Future Intelligent Reading Device Technologies

LA JOLLA, CA - eBook Technologies, Inc., the leading supplier of intelligent reading solutions, today announced its president, Garth Conboy, will participate in a panel at the Open eBook Forum "eBooks in Education Conference" in New York City on Thursday April 14, 2005 from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. EST.

The panel entitled "Industry Update on Digital Book and Reading Technologies" will also include executives from eInk, Kent Displays, and eReader. Discussion will focus on what is available today and how new technologies will take eBook use to the next level in the education space.

Garth Conboy is a technical visionary and was part of the senior management team at Gemstar that pioneered the eBook market. He is inventor or co-inventor of seven issued eBook patents; technologies include: cryptography and secure content distribution, eBook user interfaces, resource/database dynamic conversion for cross-platform applications, and optimal paginated document presentation.

Mr. Conboy is frequently consulted by corporate, training and educational organizations looking at eBook solutions as a way to access information that is much richer in content and timelier in delivery than what is typically available from traditional print sources.
