Coast to Coast Listeners Experience the Future with Intelligent Reading Devices

eBook Technologies and Filament Books partner to provide consumers with reading devices and exclusive access to thousands of eBook titles on the paranormal

LA JOLLA, CA - July 25, 2005 - eBook Technologies, Inc., the leading supplier of intelligent reading solutions, and Filament Books, a leading publisher of the worlds most prominent researchers and experiencers in the paranormal, today announced they are partnering to bring consumers a complete electronic reading solution and instant access to thousands of eBook titles from fifty different genres including: classics, biographies, crime, drama, fantasy, mystery, politics, religion and romance.

Filament Books has created a unique Book Club that also features eBook titles by prominent authors interviewed on COAST to COAST AM with George Noory. Considered to be America's top late-night radio talk-show host. COAST to COAST AM is carried by over 500 radio stations and XM satellite radio with a listening audience of 10 million. It offers interviews, roundtables, and discussions with authors, like Jim Marrs, Paul Smith, Paul Stonehill, Jim Sanders, Charles Tart, and Amityville Horror debunker Joel Martin author of Haunting of the President. The Book Club carries eBooks on paranormal topics ranging from ghosts to extraterrestrials to reincarnation. It also includes popular science fiction from authors like H. G. Wells, Orson Scott Card, and Stephen King.

Many of the Book Club titles are not available anywhere else. By joining the book club, members are guaranteed exclusive access to research on the supernatural and accounts from those with actual paranormal experiences. Members also receive an ETI-2 intelligent reading device from eBook Technologies.

"Where else can you find unique titles like the official US Army Field Guide to Remote Viewing and time travel right alongside China's secret plan for its projected war against the United States? And only the Filament Book Club brings you Contrails Magazine featuring astronaut Gene Cernan's revelation that he was almost left floating in space by the crew of Gemini 9," says Filament CEO William Birnes.

With a backlit screen and similar in size to a paperback book, the eBook reading device weighs about a pound and provides unique electronic features that offer a reading experience beyond that of a traditional book. Page turning and text orientation changes are easily accomplished with just the push of a button. Touch screen technology enables readers to enlarge the text size, bookmark pages, highlight passages, make notes, and search for key words and hyperlink to other parts of the book. The eBook comes complete with a built-in Random House Webster's Concise Dictionary that allows readers to look up a word while reading by simply tapping on it.

"The Filament Book Club reader is a neat device and is an opportunity for COAST to COAST listeners to find books by Coast guests," said George Noory COAST to COAST AM's number one nighttime radio talk show host. "Coast listeners can find books here that are unavailable anywhere else."

COAST to COAST AM listeners can join the book club by visiting (http://www.filamentbooks.com). When a book club member purchases an eBook, it is stored in the member's "Bookshelf," where it can be downloaded as needed.

"The Filament Book Club is the industry's first electronically implemented book club," said John Rivlin, eBook Technologies CEO. "Our content publishing and distribution solution is ideal for reaching any large vertically focused content audience. Our reading devices are backlit so consumers can read an eBook in most low or no light situations, such as on the subway, during nighttime road trips, or in bed when they don't want to disturb their partner."

About Filament Books

Some of the most interesting books you'll ever read are not in print, nor will they ever be. Because mainstream publishers tend to avoid books about UFOs, time travel, reincarnation, and psychic phenomena as too niche or too controversial, the founders of Filament Books created a subscription book club for fans of this genre. Aligning with Coast to Coast AM, Filament editors sought out Coast guests to publish their books in Filament's proprietary electronic format.

Filament also publishes books on alternative archaeology, history, mililtary affairs, and government conspiracy -- books with a devoted reading audience largely overlooked by mainstream publishers. Filament's new partnership with Boeing and with McGraw-Hill's Aviation Week Magazine have expanded its audience and its list magazine offerings to include Contrails, an electronic magazine for people who fly or have always wanted to.

With offices in Marina del Rey, California, the Filament Book Club was founded by the directors of Shadow Lawn Press, one of America's oldest book production companies, developers of the McGraw-Hill Personal Computer Programming Encyclopedia.
